Wow, I almost forgot about this thing. Lucky I have no readers to disappoint. I'm trying to think why I decided to come back to this and the only reason I can come up with is that I finally got bored of facebook. I just realized how phenomenally long my last post was and so now I have an idea of how much I should actually type. I apologize to my non-readers.
What's new in my life since like five months ago? I got another letter from Samuel the other day. He's learning about "combing the hair" and "eating with a fork". What a bright kid. I still don't have a name for my quad, so by the time anyone reads this to give me ideas it will be too late. That means that I probably won't have the cheer made up before camp. Oh well. That's about all that's new.
I want to have some sort of consistent portion to my blog so here are my most recent complaints: I finally tried to start using thong style flip-flops and got my foot stabbed by a really sharp piece of tall grass. I'm not sure if that's a complaint against grass or thong sandals. We have chips in my house but no salsa. I'm super pale and it's not sunny enough for me to tan. Wow, I can only think of three complaints. Life is good.
Last paragraph, I promise. I was reading Psalm 119 today because I'm pretty sure it's the longest chapter in the Bible and I've never read all of it. I know that's a lame reason but God taught me anyways. It's all about following and delighting in God's commands, which is interesting because I don't usually think about it but the reason I find them so hard to follow usually is because I'm not enjoying that God has them there to protect and prosper me. I think it's funny that the most popular part of this passage is verse 105- "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path". And yet almost everybody (including me) ignores the verses that dominate this psalm like verse 20- "My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times". We love the flowery idea that God is guiding us but refuse to play our part in following Him. People are funny.

This is an introduction
Hello person(s), if you are reading this then you have maybe stumbled across it by accident. Were you looking for somebody else by the name of Hircock? Probably not. Did you type in a random URL and end up here? If so, I apologize. My reason for making this blog is unclear to me, I guess it's because I want one more thing to spread out my efforts in my free time or maybe it's just because everyone else is doing it. By everyone I mean my roommate and a couple of girls I know. At the moment, I don't plan on telling a soul about this so if you're reading it I have either changed my mind or you had the misfortune of finding my page.
Take note: the title of my blog- I named it that because I can't promise that anything that appears here will constitute as a valid thought, but I am confident that I can at least produce words. Also note, I break my posts up into paragraphs, not necessarily for any organizational reasons, but more because it's easier on the eyes.
I called this an introduction, but the only introducing I see necessary took place in the last few paragraphs so I'll get on to the pseudo-blogging. Focusing on the trivial parts of my last week I have made a pie chart of my daily time usage. I don't think it's possible to draw a pie chart on here so I'll just break it down into percentages: 30% classes, 23% naps, 19.5% facebook, 11%running, 8% eating, 4% Mario Kart, and the rest being hodge-podge of racquetball, brawling, coloring, and handstands.
I have also compiled a list of my major complaints of the week. Firstly, I'll give the weather a break because it just does what the weatherman tells it to, but that salt stuff they put on the sidewalks makes funny lines on my jeans and means I have to wash them...like more than once every two weeks. Secondly, my roommates guitar. Not his playing of it, I kind of enjoy that, but more the fact that it stares at me when it's sitting there and I think it might be judging me. Thirdly, italicized letters. They're ridiculously impractical when you try to write them out, inconvenient when you have to switch styles to type them, and most importantly they just look weird. Fourthly, this is happening as I write this, but when you want to go back and make changes to what you're typing and instead of adding the changes in between words it types over the old stuff and forces you to either retype everything for one change or just stick with the stupid stuff you had before. Fifthly, batteries. Why can there not be a universal standard? Why am I stuck buying mostly AA because theyre more common and having to steal AAA ones from remotes because my calculator needs four of them. Sixth and lastly, condiments that are not ketchup.
Due to several factors this will be my last paragraph. The box thing I'm typing in makes it look like I've written a paperback novel- closer to something like Goosebumps rather than one of those that can also come in hardback. Also, It's two in the morning on a Saturday night. Now because I'm a respectable christian, I go to church on Sundays. (I also avoid swearing, lift the lid when I pee, and only drive 5 mph over the speed limit) Naturally I'll be wanting my sleep. Good night (or day) to you all.
